Windows xp is the only operating system, which is used wider in the world.. a lots of people using windows and they waiting 10-20 monutes to see their desktop home page. You can easily speed up the windows by doing the following steps:

 

Steps:

1.click start button, then click run and type misconfiguration in the Run window and press enter. A new window pop ups after 2-5 seconds.

2. find BOOT.INI tab in the window and look the small text box labeled with time out. There you can see the value 30, which is present default. This indicates that windows start up in 30seconds, so so change it to 10 seconds.

3. to run faster, you delete all temporary filles in the temp file. Type %temp% in the run dialog box and press ok. You will see many files and fokders in the opened window. Select all fikes and folders by click edit and chose select all and delete all files.

4. perform scan disk to scan all your hard drives and to keep them healthy. This makes to run windows faster.

5. once in a month do disk de fragmentation to secure hard disk space. Chose defragmentation tool from accessories in the start button.

Tips and warnings:

If you want to install any software, don’t add shortcut to start up folder. It increases speed of the windows xp start up

†      Check if any spy ware is installed in start up folder.

†      Add ram to boot windows xp more faster.use DDR2 or DDR3 ram.

†      Don’t off your anti virus programs in any situation .

†      Switch off your computer properly, don’t press switch button to off the computer
