Education in Homeopathy has become quite popular in different places around the world and Bangladesh also. For the last few years a good number of students have been getting interested to study Homeopathy since many people rely more on this theory of treatment than they used to do in the earlier days. There are thirty-eight homeopathic medical colleges and hospitals under Bangladesh Homoeopathy Medical Board situated at Nikunjo-2, Dhaka. Only one of them is run by the government and all others are private medical colleges. In Dhaka city there are three such colleges. There are two courses on homoeopathy in Bangladesh. One of them is BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) and the other is DHMS (Diploma of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery). Some diploma courses are conducted by Bangladesh Homoeopathy Medical Board and the graduation courses are run by the University of Dhaka. College list details information in Bangladesh. You have to pass SSC from any group (science, arts & commerce) to get admitted in DHMS course & SSC and HSC from science group for getting admitted in BHMS course. Most of the colleges also run DHMS course in night-shift for the service-holders/ professional guys. The DHMS course is of four and a half years duration, on the contrary the BHMS course is of five and a half years duration. After completion of any one course you will get Govt. registration to practice homeopathy within Bangladesh. You can even join the Govt. health service, BCS (health) cadre after the completion of BHMS. It is obvious to let you know that day by day the number of students who are interested to study in Homeopathy is increasing because they might have presumed the bright future of homeopathy since many people have already been taking this treatment. More people are choosing homeopathy because of its natural method of healing; there is little side effect of the homeopathy medicines. Even in the countries like France 60% people prefer homeopathic treatment; in Bangladesh 70% chronic patients get tired of taking allopathic medicines, they are seeking for some natural, ayurvedic or herbal treatment or medicines. Students interest in this field is naturally increasing. Even many brilliant students with their target to become doctors are choosing homoeopathy as their subject of specialization.                                                                         There is a scope for ushering in innovation in homeopathic education. But there has to be guarded optimism while planning this. The success of this program will depend on framing of the courses, selection of hubs for training, selection of the internal and external faculty. If guidelines are framed for transparency of actions and if they are implemented impartially and rigorously, there is likelihood of this program succeeding. . College List link
